How does this exercise program sound

I'm 7 pounds away from my goal weight. I eat around 1200 calories a day. I used to work out 2 hours a day at the gym doing cardio. I lost 33 pounds really quickly and I decided to incorporate weight training into my workout. I was thinking of doing the stair master for an hour then doing 20 minutes of either upper body or lower body weight training 4 days a week. Would doing that type of workout help me lose 7 pounds and maintain my weight?

I would reverse your program. 45-60min weight/strength training (check out StrongLifts 5x5 - check out the woman's group here>>http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/4601-stronglifts-5x5-for-women) and follow that with 20-30min light cardio. And if you are doing that, 1200cals/day is probably too low.0

I agree with the previous poster. When I got close to my goal weight (lost 60lbs of baby weight) I flipped my workouts to mainly strength training/weights with a bit of cardio thrown in. I do arms and back 3 days a week, legs 4 days a week, and abs 5 days a week.
ETA: Oh yeah and I also eat about 500 more calories a day this way too. I'm now losing 1-2/lbs a week (usually one) but getting WAY stronger.0
