New York City … really is the devils playground !!!!

well .. i have just returned from 10 fantastic days in New York.
1st 3 days i spent in Long Island .. where the clean healthy eating lifestyle was relatively easy to keep up, the roadside farmers markets had some of the best fruit n veggies I've had in a long while back in england. The only thing that drew me away from my calorific count was the beer .. lol
Not much to do in Long Island but had a great time..then onto New York City

OK … so the partial success in Long Island was kinda good..entering the city was a disaster.. lol
The smell of food was on every street corner and it smelled divine…after 3-4months of watching what i ate etc it was heaven ..
i tried my hardest to steer away from the crap stuff but the cost of a sale in New York City is f…ed up … seriously ..
Although salad is added as a side with most meals in the city the huge portions of it were crazy ..mostly consisted of just lettuce and tomato with dressing.. i steered clear of the dressings as i don't eat them at home tbh .. so partial success there ..but the healthy meals were very hard to find so ended up with a few unhealthy turkey or chicken burgers .. NONE of which i could find on wholewheat bread..all on ****ty white bread which i gave up months ago.. i eventually caved in and ate the white bread and the breakfasts in the hotel was continental so.. bagels for breakfast…more bread … arggggghhhhhh
Water is as expensive as soda in NYC so also ended up having soda at certain places..
Result ??? … i was bloated as hell for the whole time in the city .. didn't feel good at all but now I'm back home i can get back to normality and healthy foods .. the bloating is subsiding slowly and i daren't weigh myself till monday… (my normal weigh in day)
So .. monday will tell me how much I've gained.. lol .. the Gym in the Hilton was fab but full of foreigners … lol so i walked everywhere rather than train/bus etc etc .. hopefully i won't have gained too much but hell..i had the best time ever in the City :)

Getting online was a nightmare most of the time so i gave up on tracking and posting while i was away.. i know..i'm bad , but i'm back now and back to work on the body :)

When I lived there, I'd take the occasional Saturday and walk from Battery Park up through the Upper East Side and back, and eat and drink my way through the day. There are so many fantastic little holes in the wall and up and coming chefs there, that you can really get yourself in trouble if you don't find a way to burn it off. It's still definitely one of my favorite places.
