Calories in a Crab Cake

Hi, all. My boyfriend worked at a crab cake stand at a fair today and he got to bring some home with him tonight. I did well all day, so I ate one (without the bun) for dinner (I know, I know, it wasn't the healthiest choice . . . I need to work on my will power). My question is, how many calories are in one crab cake? I know it depends on how it is prepared, but I would just like an estimate. When I searched online, I found anywhere from 100 to 500 calories, so that doesn't help much. For your reference, my boyfriend (who helped prepare them) said that each one was 1/4 pound, 80% crab meat, and grilled (not fried). Any thoughts? Thank you.

The crab cakes by Kroger are 190 calories that you bake in the oven. I don't think they are smaller than 1/4 pound. I would probably log it as the higher estimate to be on the safe side so you don't overeat for the day. I do this sometimes to prevent myself from thinking I have calories that I can still eat at the end of the day and then wondering why the scale didn't move.

Either make a guess, or try to log the ingredients individually.

1/4 lb is about 114g, and 80% crab meat is about 91g of meat. So do a search in the food database for 91g crab meat and log that, then log portions for the filler, which your boyfriend would know since he helped prepare them.
