Hi all,
Advice desperatly needed. I've been working out 6 days a week for the last couple of weeks and had intended doing so again today , but i woke this morning with my son's cold, lord love him. I would still try and get my exercise in but not only have I got a cold now, sore throat tired muscles etc, I also have an assignment for my OU module to work on that is due in the next day or so. My question is, would it be acceptable to not exercise today as long as I stick within calories and up my fluid intake. I feel like I should get the exercise in, I guess I just want to know what some of you all would do in a similar situation.
Thanks in advance

Nat.

Take a break! Working out when you're sick can just make it that much harder for your body to recover. And you've been doing GREAT at 6 days a weekThe best thing you can do to love your body right now is to pay attention to what it's telling you-- which is "take a break!"

I would relax and up your fluids like you said. The more fluids you drink the quicker you will kick that cold. If you workout to hard you might wear yourself down and actually encourage the cold to stick around longer. Especially with an assignment to complete, I would definitely take it easy.
