MFP food list - Calories are off from what I eat?

I'm sorry I'm spamming posts everywhere, but I'm new (I'll shut up after a while).
MFP lists 2% cottage cheese as 203 calories for 1 Cup of 2% lowfat.....the brand I buy says 90 calories per half cup (also 2% milkfat, lowfat), which would make it 180 calories for 1 cup, not 203. I'm wondering if y'all are just using the listed foods and saying "meh" to the few calories that are off....or if you're adding the brand and info to the database and using that?
Thank you!

Hi!
I would probably just add the brand that I am using to the database, if there was that much of a discrepancy and it was an item I eat regularly!0
