Bingers how do you cope when you have guests?

I had a good week last week.
I recognise for me, personally, I eat when bored, premenstrual, anxious, depressed, tired and because it's there.
I don't believe, for me, moderation works. If I allow myself free access to certain foods I just want more. My mother said I was like that as a child, yet it wash' the case for my brother... for me it's not always the yummy stuff, I can overeat on dark chocolate or cheese cake but my binge foods are cereals, bread, muffins, cake, etc.
Last week, I allowed myself to have binge food when out and in the company of others but not free access to them at home. It worked, There are some foods I just avoid as I don't even crave them or miss them but when I start eating them I Just want to keep going.
So this weekend, we had young children and guests (my husband's friends and my husband's family) , so we had toast, sugared cereal... I get up first with the youngest child and I have to do all the food. By ten am I am waiting for the others to get up and I have already put my hand in the cereal, finished off the kid's desserts. I am finding this really tough and somehow at the time, it just feels nice and ok. Seeing that I have gained 7 lbs in one weekend (ok water weight must be part of it) but my stomach hurts and I'm just irritated with myself.
How do you guys deal with these kinds of situations? I'm not talking to overeaters here, I'm talking to bingers (I know we all can finish off a little bit of our favourite cake).
