Can I please get a bit of a push? Having a hard time motivating myself to eat well and work out! Thanks a bunch.

I know how hard it is to eat right and exercise this time of year. Everyone is so busy and all the extra food around is SO tempting! But you can do it and get through it! I'm NOT an exercise person by ANY means but I've actually found something that I really enjoy and now I look forward to it! I know you will succeed and get to where you want to be, we ALL will with time, patience, and perseverance:)

Ok I don't know if you're more motivated with nice or pushing so here's both.

Get up and get your butt to the gym!!!

    or

I know it's hard sometimes but just hang in there and it'll get better. You will feel better if you stick with what you set out to do whether you really don't want to or not.

    Ok hope that helps.

You've done well so far, if loosing weight and maintaining was easy then everyone would be there. You are a strong person and you can do this. Go get a massage or manicure/pedicure to celebrate what you have done. This will re-energize you! You can do this.

I'm in the same boat....huge lack of motivation right now. Something that helps though is to look at the clothes hanging in my closet and know that I can get back into them. Last night I put on a pair of jeans that 2 weeks ago I couldn't wear without my spanx...LOL! They fit just when I needed a little motivation, when I was ready to give up. Find a pair of pants that you would like to get into to and try them on ever so often; even an inch higher up your thighs is great motivation. This is a hard time of year and we have two options:

    1) Forget it and pack the pounds back on or...
    2) Make up our minds that this is a lifestyle change, something that will add years to our lives and strength to our bones so that we, as women, don't develop osteoporosis!

Good luck, I hope this helps:)

Hm, just yesterday my roommate asked me to help motivate her off of the couch. I'm typically the person that people will ask to help get them up off their butt, because I've got a loud voice and yell at them pretty well :)

I'm not sure that will have the same effect online. But here goes ...

Get up! GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND GO DO SOMETHING! It's a beautiful day (in Portland, anyway ...)!!! Go for a walk! Enjoy the fresh air! Do it! DO IT!

    DO IT!!!

Hmph, see, in real life I can clap my hands together really loudly and actually bark at you. (Not a literal bark, although I could.) That's more motivating than text. I could post pictures of the guy who represented "Sloth" in the movie Seven, but that's a little overkill, I think.

Fine, I'm going for a walk, then, and you can just stay here all by yourself. [/things mom used to threaten us with]

Honestly, when I feel sluggish and have no interest in doing anything, especially cleaning or exercise, I find any song with a great dance beat usually gets me off my butt. Next thing I know I'm shaking around and totally energized, so maybe it'll work for you to =)
