Hi All!

I am not new to MFP and have been using it for years. However, I have fallen off the band wagon big time so I thought if I had other healthy/active people to connect with it would motivate me. I am not fat but I used to weigh about 20 lbs less and had much more energy! My goal is to get back to where I was and stay there.

Thanks :)

Hi there. You are where I was when I started. I needed to lose 20 lbs. Since I started (February), I lost that plus, then recently gained some then just lost again to where I'm at my idea weight. It is a forever thing, like everyone will tell you. I will be counting calories until... I was going to say I'm old and gray but that's already happened so... Until the end of my days and I know if I don't I will be back to where I once was.

Counting calories, having a fitbit and weighing often is the only thing that keeps me honest. This last time that I gained weight I was on vacation so while I still had my fitibit and was reaching my goal as far as steps, I did not weigh nor logged calories and came back home with some souvenir pounds as all I had to show for the fun I had. Good luck getting back to where you want to be and feel free to ad me if you wish.

    Hey, welcome back.

I would suggest formulating a solid gameplan on getting to where you want to be and also on how to maintain it once you get there. I made it a point to figure out what I needed to do on a daily basis to reach my goals. That way you don't start each day and then have figure out what you need to do. You already know. But that is what is working for me.

    Best of luck to you!
