Fitness Shoes for Weak Soles

Let's be honest. It's been years since I really dedicated to getting more exercise in. In fact, lately the only arm curls I have been doing are wine glass curls.
I just enrolled in our community program for Total Body Blast that is cardio that includes kickboxing, Pilates, and weight lifting. I'm a bit nervous because I really haven't ever done any of this (except Pilates). My question is what shoe/sneaker do you recommend for something of this nature? I have overpronation and my ankles are weak; there have been times just when I walk, I get sharp pains that eventually go away.
I have Nike Shox but not a fan (they make my arches cramp). I don't have the time (nor the money) to spend getting fitted at shoe specialty shops. Can anyone recommend a brand that will be comfortable for me? Mid tops perhaps?

i'd just wear cross trainers or minimalist running shoes.
i switch off between chucks (for lifting), brooks pureconnect (for days with lots of running) and merrell minimals for days where i'm lifting, sprinting or just feel like wearing a lighter shoe0 -
I would try 5 or 6 pairs of cross trainers on and pick the one that feels most comfortable, and buy them on sale. You're very likely to work your way through a few pairs of shoes during your first year as you figure out what you like. I settled on minimalist shoes.0

I agree with the above, I settled on minimalist shoes myself... I use Komodsport LS Vibrams fivefinger shoes when lifting and Brook Pureflow series (non toe minimalist shoes) for Jogging, etc Best of Luck0
