I need some home gym equipment recommedations

I am looking to buy some weight lifting equipment for the home. I know I can get some straight bars and curl bars in the bulleting board. I will be lifting alone, so I think it might be good to have a good piece of home fitness equipment. For one, we are in search of a decent eliptical. ANy good recommendations. Thanks for any suggestions.
