No weight loss while ovulating

Am I the only one...or are there women out there who also notice they don't lose while ovulating? I'm one of the lucky ones who know exactly when I'm ovulating due to about 36 hours of cramping...but I also notice I somewhat feel like I'm menstruating as well...that bloated, heavy feeling. Anyway, just looking for some confirmation on the mini-plateau during this time of the month. And what has happened after? Do you notice a bigger loss the week after? I've only been commited to a healthy lifestyle since Oct 24th...

For me personally there is no big change the week after, just my normal average loss. However, From what I have seen and read its perfectly normal not to lose or even to gain a pound or 2 due to water weight. If you gain water weight lbs those should come off right away. I try to avoid the scale during that time.0

I have the same issue.. I don't lose weight while ovulating, but I think it's because I retain a lot of water. Then usually about 2-3 days later, I am running to the bathroom and I am down a little bit extra. So I think I shed all the water weight a few days later.0

I also retain water during ovulation, and am always blessed with knowing when I am going through it.
No big deal; just keep in mind that it is water, not a "failure!"

I agree...it's perfectly normal to retain water during ovulation (as well as menstruation)...increasing my water intake during these times actually help me to release the water weight gain....0

Please keep in mind that during that time you may still be losing body fat and gaining lean muscle at the same rate as before and after...the scale is looking at water retention in addition to those factors, so even though the scale might be measuring the same or higher, chances are if your diet's right and you are working out, your body composition is still changing anyway.0

Thanks everyone! Makes me feel much better. I know I'm losing inches (I should have measured when I first started but didn't) but it's nice to see that scale go down, too!0
