From being buff to slim.

So about 5 years ago my ideal look was to look buff/muscular etc but now I want to head in the way of looking slim while still retaining some but not a significant amount of muscle.
What would be the ideal way of getting there?
What kind of exercises?
What about nutrition wise?
Any tips would be great.
OOPS. Seems like I posted this on the wrong section. Any mods would be kind enough to move it to the correct section.

Most people aren't as "buff" as they think they are. Usually just losing weight causes people to look slim and not very muscular.0
