Bodybugg (wearable calorie-burn counter)?

I'm looking for input from real people (not the infomercial people) about this device and others like it. Do they legitimately somehow calculate the amount of calories your body is burning via daily activities? I wouldn't consider myself a penny-pincher, but I also don't want to spend money on something that is all "flash for your cash" and does nothing.
Thank you in advance

people on here swear by those things or similar devices. IMO, people were losing weight long before technology and I honestly don't feel they are that important. I've lost almost 10 pounds without one, so...0

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. I don't think I necessarily "need" one per say...but I keep looking at every single label I buy at the store...all the labels at home, for calories. I guess I think it might be motivational for me to be able to see them (in numerical value) as they come off also, and not just as I consume them. lol :P0
