Itching stretch marks

I've lost about 43lbs and have noticed that I have been itching lately. Tonight when I got in the shower I noticed that I had been itching where I have the most stretch marks on my upper thighs. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I get super itchy thighs when working out. Goes away shortly after, but drives me nuts while it lasts!0

Try Bio Oil or a really good lotion when the itchiness hits. Eucerin makes a great lotion with an anti-itch ingredient.0

If you're itching ll over, call the doctor.
I have had the unfortunate experience of being itchy all over. It's horrible, distracting and frustrating! It can drive you absolutely mad. Swimming in the ocean helps most. Swimming in a pool helps some.
Good luck.0 -
I've been having this problem for about a month now. I did some research a few weeks back because of it. Stretch marks tend to itch when the surface skin area changes. They probably itched when the skin stretched, but you didn't notice because the weight gain was slower. Now that the surface area, over say your stomach for example, is shrinking, the skin is having to shrink and heal. Try some cocoa butter lotion. It helps to smooth the skin, help the itching, and keeps it from drying out, which it can do. Itchy stretch marks is a good sign! It means you're doing something right. :drinker:0

Interesting to find this thread. I'm not sleeping well from itching. The areas that itch? Inner thighs, under arms, under breasts, and crease where belly folds. Its as if skin is having a hard time cooling. You would think this would have been a problem when I was heavier. I never lost sleep from the itching before. Also noticing itching more in daylight hours too but I can deal with better then. I' m thinking of trying antihistamine before bedtime tomorrow night. Anyone try that? Did it help?0

Thanks for this post!
I was itching like crazy last night under my arms and thought "I have to remember to Google this when I get up". Of course I forgot, until I saw this!0
