I don't need the new year

to say I am not eating anymore junk. I don't get anything from it anymore. The only thing that I acknowledge it fulfills is boredom or sadness and I have other things to preoccupy myself. I am a super motivated person that continuously feels fat and I am starting to feel lame for it. No more junk

Exactly, I always feel so bad for eating sweets at Christmas and all the other junk, but why do I even need to? Most of it doesn't even entice me that much but I have this NEED to try everything...but it fulfills nothing in me! Other than my pants...sigh lol0 -
I totally agree! Waiting for a month or a few weeks to start getting into shape or cut something out of your life like sweets just gives you permission to go overboard until that time. I lost a couple pounds over Thanksgiving and now I"m just staying steady - and I want to LOSE over Christmas. It will feel great! Hang in there and stay strong -you'll be so happy with yourself instead of being mad or disappointed with yourself. I'm cheering you on!0

Congrats girl! For me it was looking at the numbers and realizing the food is SO NOT WORTH IT. Sure, I got 30 seconds of happiness, but then I had hours of guilt looking at the numbers.
Blah!
I'm learning to take enjoyment from healthy foods - a crisp apple can be just as sweet as a candy.0 -
I agree! Someone at work brought in a bunch of candy (she's in no danger of being overweight) and I was like "Thanks but no thanks!" She said "Oh come on, the Biggest Loser contest (that we're having at work) doesn't start until January, you can have some!" I replied "Have you just met me? You know I'm not like that. I'm on my own Biggest Loser contest everyday, with myself! Why would I let myself slack off for three weeks, gain 5 lb, then have to work to get rid of it?"0
