I really love brown bread but have been trying to stay away from it as it's so HIGH in Sodium  I've tried various different types and finally I've decided to "try" and make my own  can't be that hard

So if you do make your own please share your recipe here :flowerforyou:

Thanks in advance

    Mix together:
    2 1/2 cups wheat bran
    1 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup wheat germ (if desired)
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    2 Tbsp molasses
    1/2 cup oil
1 tsp salt (more if desired-the recipe actually calls for 2 Tbsp, but I am on a low-sodium diet)
    4 Tbsp instant yeast
    7-8 cups warm/hot water

Add in enough whole wheat flour to make dough (about 7 cups). Kneed for 10 minutes. Sprinkle white flour on tabletop to kneed on if desired. Let rise until double in warm place. Shape into 5-6 loaves. Let rise about one hour. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

Fabulous bread! I get asked to sell it, but I don't!
