Sodium & Dense Calories

I have a wish that everyone who's diary is visible to others list sodium as one of the things they're tracking.I'm being selfish because to me this is the hardest thing to keep in check & I'd love to see the foods people are eating with a low sodium content.
I hear people talking about dense foods with lots of calories that are also low in sodium. If I could find this combination I know I would be more successful in my pursuit of getting healthy. You see I'm burning lots of calories training for an event where i'll be required to ride my bike 100 miles a day for 2 days.Burning anywhere from 1500 to 3000 calories a day right now(more later in my training) I need to find the foods dense in calories & low in sodium so I can eat more of my exercise calories!

Actually, training for an event like that you will need to make sure you replace sodium and potassium when you replace the fluids you lose while sweating because you lose them through sweat too. If you are limiting sodium for medical reasons (high blood pressure) I'd make sure you talk to your doctor about your training so that they can help you get with a dietitian or nutritionist who can review your whole nutritional picture to make sure you aren't at risk while doing the event.

:flowerforyou: if you stay away from processed foods and stay with clean eating you'll improve your nutrition and lower your sodium intake.
