....is bloody amazing.
If you add it to a seasoning or sauce, you can do a million things with it!!! It is bland as all heck so you have to plan to season it to match your dish.
For instance, I 'smash" it with a fork, add a packet of taco seasoning and VIOLA! veggie tacos!
Smash it and add it into ricotta cheese with an egg & spices - BAM! - higher protein, super filling lasagna spread.
Stir fry some veggies, and in the last 4 minutes or so (when you add your sauce) add cubes of tofu and you have a super delicious stir fry.
Smash it and add it to your chili instead of ground beef. (nom nom nom)
Buy soft (rather than firm) and add it to blender smoothies with fruit and yogurt. You'll be full 'til dinner (well, almost).
Smash some up, add it to your morning fry pan with your scramble veggies (skip the eggs) for a low fat breakfast.
Make MISO soup. O - M - G!!
Bake it. Slice, Marinate, and bake. I did a modification of my orange chicken (soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar) and it was ta-da delish.
Oh, and there are a whole bunch of tofu "pudding" desserts out there. Google 'em - they're quick and easy and once you've made one or two, you can start playing around with them to make one you REALLY love!!!
Hope this helps!!!0 -
