Low Cal Beef N Bean Burritos!
Makes 8 burritos:
Westpac - Meal Basics Ranchero Blend, 1 container (3 cups ea.);
La Preferida - Refried Beans Fat Free, 1 container (1 4/5 cups ea.);
Beef Ground Round 90% - Hamburger, 20 oz; Extra Virgin Olive Oil Blend, 1 tbsp;
on the Border - Medium Salsa, 5 tbsp;
Spices - Chili powder, 1 tbsp;
Generic - Ground Cumin, 1 Tablespoon;
Spices - Garlic powder, 1 tbsp;
Spices - Oregano, dried, 2 tsp, leaves;
Mission - Whole Wheat Flour Tortilla, 8 tortillas
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain fat. Add about a 1/4 cup of water, and all the other ingredients except the tortillas, mix well and heat through. Spoon a little less than 2/3 cup onto each tortilla, and then sprinkle with one ounce of Fat Free Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese. Roll into a tortilla, and microwave for about 20 seconds to melt the cheese. Each burrito has 389 calories, 43 carbs, 9 grams of fat, 34 grams of protein, 35 % of the needed calcium for the day, and 1102 mg of sodium.
It's kinda high on the sodium side, but it's better than it would be using a taco seasoning mix. I served mine with a couple of Tablespoons of light sour cream, but that's optional. Took about 20 minutes to make them and they tasted great!
