I used to be quite thin. But two years ago I went on the depo provers shot, and now today I stand 5'7 at 204 pounds. That is so much weight to put on in two years. cue stretch marks. That on top of my boyfriend moving forty-five minutes away as opposed to five, my anorexia has reared its head. again.
while I only just started to document my eating habits on here again as of Sunday, I think its safe to assume the pattern has been around longer than that. at least three weeks. I eat 150-200 calories a day. I keep telling myself "nothing else works, and I'll finally be happy when I'm skinny."
have any of you gained wait from the depo shot, and is there a better method you used to get rid of it?
I would hate to lose all this weight only to put it all back on during recovery, thus triggering another relapse. and repeat.

You need to see a counselor if you are only eating 150 calories a day. Your concern about any weight you MIGHT gain back isn't important right now.0

Get professional help. Your current intake is extremely unhealthy as is your apparent mindset.
The depo shot does have weight gain as a potential side effect ... about 11 pounds over 3 years on average in studies. The decision to restrict yourself to under 500 calories has nothing to do with the birth control and everything to do with other issues.0 -
I really don't think you should be on this site if you're only using it to document how much you're starving yourself. Most people who have ED's and use MFP are attempting recovery, not feeding into a relapse.
I think you should be focusing on your mental health above all else.
Consuming 150-200 cals per day is absolutely NOT a sustainable or healthy weight loss method, so you would inevitably gain the weight back and continue the dangerous cycle.0
