Lack of Red Meat to blame.....

Hi everyone,

I just recently cut red meat out of my diet and started eating more healthy things such as veggies and no soda if any. But I have been getting these slight headaches for days. Could it be the lack of meat in my diet or the lack of caffeine, as I was pretty much an addict to the soda? I do eat my 3 meals a day just more in moderation and healthy snacking.

Headaches are pretty much caffeine withdrawal's #1 symptom.

I'm guessing it's the lack of caffeine from soda, not the lack of red meat. The headaches will pass in time. How about some tea (hot or iced) or coffee instead of the soda? :drinker: (That's caffeine I'm drinking, not beer!)

I went through massive headaches when I stopped drinking Coca-cola. All I drink now is water, green tea (it's decaffeinated), and some soy milk. After a while (couldn't tell you how long) it tapered off and now I only get a random headache every once in a while (which is probably a normal human thing).

Caffeine withdraw was my first thought as well. The headaches are terrible and any type of light hurt but they go away. Mine went away after about 48 hours.
