Hello,
I am about 19 weeks into my first pregnancy and am starting to actually feel pregnant. I am a runner (swam all through high school/college), but my balance (as well as all the bouncing my belly does) is affacting my workouts and I wanted some advice from other mothers and mothers-to-be on what you are/were doing to stay healthy during your pregnancy.
I still do strength training at least 2-3 times a week and try to get cardio in at least 3 times as well.
I eat fairly healthy (just moved and was living in hotels, thus the 'fairly' comes into play), and try to keep a balanced diet.
My prepregnancy weight was 128 (I am 5'2) and im only at 137 but starting to see the dreaded pregnancy love handles!

I don't have much advice except do what you can! I am 19 weeks now (you are probably more like 27 or so by now i see) and I am noticing that even walking bothers my hips some, but I just truck through it because its very mild and never lasts afterwards. I still do strength training as well and am trying to do things that will help when the baby comes-- like really emphasizing arms/shoulders since we will use them all the time to lift the baby. My midwife has said that labor is a LOT of work and if you are in shape it'll make it so much easier, so I just push through. I would maybe run at a slower pace and you could probably get one of those belly bands thats a support belly band to make it easier on your baby. Be careful of too much bouncing though.
Now that you are farther along, have you been able to keep up with it? I'm an avid exerciser and its so strange to feel sort of just fat and not pregnant as that is soemthing I try so hard to avoid in normal life-- so i'm with you on the dreaded weight that appears other placese than my belly! I'm trying to have grace on myself, and plan to do lots of hot yoga after the baby comes! haha... Congrats!!0
