Make an educated guess. Some people are good at this, others are not.
If over time, your weight loss/gain coincides with your tracked caloric deficit/surplus then your estimates are pretty accurate. If they diverge greatly, then make adjustments as needed.0 -
As the poster above has suggested, take an educated guess. But, I am guessing that you do not eat out all the time - so just go out and enjoy yourself - have whatever you'd like! It's not every day - everybody is allowed a treat now and again. It's better to enjoy your time out then have to worry about what you are eating. It's not going to hurt one day!0

If it's simplistic enough to know the ingredients
in your choice of restaurant foods then just
break it down by each ingredient. Like pizza,
Mexican food and burgers and these types are
fairly easy. You might want to pick the higher
choices in cals though because for taste they
offer the less healthy options in general.0 -
You can try this book that Mens Health produce it's called Eat This Not That, it has loads of general information. All the main stream resturants, fast food joints and gerneral resturant menus. If I remember correctly it also has drinks. It helps you make the correct choices so you never feel left out when eating out. I dont know if this is the same over the pond but in the UK most resturants have Cal information on menus. I have used the book and it has been brilliant and shocked me what was better in the main stream places. Everything from shopping to eating out.
Please ask any question that I might be able to help with.0 -
