Protein and Carb Defecit

I'm usually at a defecit for Protein, around 40-70g and 60-140g for carbs. Is it bad to have a defecit ?

    For carbs - no

For protein - depends (what is your lean body mass weight? how active are you? and what is your protein currently set at?)

I agree. If being at a deficit on carbs were a problem, you'd have noticed it by now  Protein, on the other hand, I aim to meet or mildly exceed that macro as my goal is to build as much muscle as my wee 5' tall, 45 yr old female body can handle

In my personal opinion, I try to keep my deficients under 50g for carbs and 15g for protein, but like tennisdude200 said, it depends.

What are your macros set at? What're your daily goals for each?

are you DEFICIT 40-70 grams for protein- or is that your goal? or is that how much you're hitting?

Because for example- if it's me me- I'm deficit 40 grams of protein it's not a crisis- I'm still over 100.

But if I was only HITTING 40 grams- that's a huge problem for me- that's WAY to low.

Macros are a rough guide- they aren't the be all end all- but you want to get in the same neighborhood.
