Hey,

I find that once I start increasing my exercise, I am getting hungry after supper. Looking for suggestions and recepies for snacks that are ok to eat before bed.

Thanks!

Whatever you want that fits your remaining calories/macros.

Since you asked for suggestions, here are a few of my standbys:

    - Omelette with one egg, 9 tablespoons of egg whites, and 1-2 ounces of cheese
    - Greek yogurt, frozen berries, and crunchy cereal of choice (Grape Nuts, Rice Krispies, etc.)
    - Ice Cream
    - Oatmeal with PB2

Anything you want that fits your macros is "OK to eat before bed."

I liked chips or lettuce and salsa, but salsa is very out for me at bedtime now. I really try not to eat the last few hours before I sleep.

Strawberries. And berries, really. Any fruit, really. But you can fill up very nicely on strawberries for so few calories.

    Rice cake (not very filling!)

    Lettuce.

    An egg.

    Granola.

A low-cal hot dog and cottage cheese (<100 calories!)

Protein shakes are perfect, plus they keep you very full, load up on fruit in it, some peanut butter..

    Also popcorn ?

For weight loss I suggest eating protein. Here are some suggestions:
    1. 1/2 cup 2% cottage Cheese
    2. 6 oz FAGE Greek Yogurt
    3. 1 Scoop Whey or Casein Shake
    4. 4 oz piece of chicken breast

I have mixed chocolate whey and cottage cheese with a tad bit of milk to make a chocolate pudding...that's what did it for me when I was losing weight.
