How to find calorie information

I didn't get a chance to pack my lunch before class, so I ate out to a nearby restaurant called On a Roll. I had a Caesar chicken on a spinach wrap. I can't find the calorie information online and they didn't have it in the restaurant I went too. Any idea on how I can log in the information? it doesn't come up in the search and other Caesar chicken spinach wraps are different calories depending on the restaurant so I can't just pick one.

Thanks.

If the restaurant you went to doesn't publish their nutrition information anywhere then you have a couple of options, but you aren't going to be able to get an exact calorie count for that particular item.

When I eat out somewhere local I tend to choose the highest calorie item that looks similar. It's not an accurate estimate, but as long as I'm not doing it too often it doesn't impact my loss by much.

Or, you can try to "deconstruct" your meal and log all of the parts separately. With this method you'd estimate the amount of chicken in your wrap and log that, then the amount of caesar dressing, then the size of the wrap itself, etc. until you get an idea of how many calories were in your meal. This can be a little harder to do (especially if you have a hard time eyeballing portion sizes) but sometimes it will give you a more accurate idea of the number of calories you ate.

I'd find the closest "known" value from a similar restaurant and go with that.

This is what makes "chain" restaurants a valuable resource in the database.

Pick one, estimate high, move on
