Do I eat to hit my calorie minimum

Monday my doc put me on a diet pill. It is a appetite suppressant.
Yes I now never feel hungry. Tonight I find that after eating I only ate 1000 calories through out the day. I know MFP suggest you at least eat 1200 calories a day for any one. Btw my calorie goal is 1510 a day.
So the question is should I eat the extra 200 calories to hit the minimum recommended calorie count for any one ?
I guess I could go for some sherbet icecream.

As you only have 25 pounds to lose I'm surprised and quite shocked that a Dr put you on those pills. But yes in reality you need to be hitting near 1500 a day to maintain overall health. Personally I'd stop the pills as well they're normally only prescribed for morbidly obese people under certain conditions0

Your doctor should've discussed your eating with you when he prescribed it. Since he didn't, call and ask.0

If he gave you this pill why didn't you call him to ask him that question?
^^And also in for agreement! Adding that unless eating habits are addressed at the same time rebound weight gain is usually inevitable.0 -
Even if you're taking a pill that suppresses your appetite, your body still needs fuel to function. The pill didn't take away your need for actual nutrients.0

QFT and I'm sorry your doctor prescribed pills. You'd be better off not taking them and learning moderation and how to hit your macros. Pills don't teach that.
ETA: I speak from experience...About 20 years ago I had 60# to lose...I took pills prescribed by my doctor. And what am I doing now? Losing that 60# plus like another 10-15 on top of that. So...there's that.0 -
Maybe some of these can help...

People giving their advice...have told me not hitting 1200 once is not going to be a big deal in your overall week. That is once during my week, not daily or frequently. Maybe you can plan out tomorrow ahead of time with a few more calorie dense foods. And, maybe figure out what times you feel like eating more and top load calories then. I'm finding I need to eat more in the mornings because I also have been struggling the last week to hit 1200 in the evenings and I'm totally not hungry.
Ice cream sounds yummy, but I'm out. Doesn't last long with a 10 year old around.0 -
I would hit at least 1200. But I wouldn't do it with ice cream. You're using a pill, you can't take a pill forever. You need to make lifestyle changes or you'll always be dieting and losing the same weight over and over again. I usually go for small, high protein snacks when I need to add some calories, such as peanut butter (usually I eat this with a banana), nuts, or lean meat.0

Oh I have 70 lbs to drop my goal 170. My 25 on my profile is my short term goal.As you only have 25 pounds to lose I'm surprised and quite shocked that a Dr put you on those pills.
