Salad quantity question

I scanned my container of pre-mixed salad. The scanner said a serving size is 2 cups. So is that two packed cups or two cups of loose lettuce?

Well, I cram as much lettuce as I can into two cups anyway. It won't pack tight and it pops out anyway. I figure if its lettuce, its not gonna be that many more calories anyway. I prefer to weigh mine though, its a lot easier than trying to cram lettuce into a 2 cup measuring cup.

Your food label should show the number of grams or ounces per serving in parentheses after the number of cups per serving. If you weigh the food then you can be sure of exactly how much you are eating.

I wouldn't overthink it, lettuce is like 10 calories.

    Great job diligently measuring though!

Lol I just eat the whole bag and log the serving contents on the back for that bag... but If measuring I would go with loose... Best of Luck

To me it doesn't matter much, since lettuce is so low, Just watch what you dress it with. That is what you should measure carefully, the ranch, or French.

I actually don't even log my lettuce when I have a salad because I am too lazy.
