When you've had WAY too much sodium...

And you can feel it.
What do you do to flush it out of your system? Just extra water? Any particular foods or supplements? I had way too much this weekend, I could feel it last night and I still feel it this morning. I drink a ton of water as is but I'm trying to drink even more. Any hints? I feel nasty.

I would say to really drink alot of water and try to flush it out. Maybe an extra hard cardio workout to get some extra sweat going too. Don't know of any special foods that would help.0

Water and sweat works wonders0

In the same boat myself today. Best of luck!0

I agree with the previous posters. Do a hard work out to sweat out a lot and drink a TON of water. I'm talking double what your minimum for the day is. If you weigh 180, you should be drinking 90 oz. of water minimum. My minimum would be 80 oz. but I can drink 100 oz., stay in my sodium level for the day and still feel thirsty and bloated, so just find your sweet spot!0

In the same boat today after eating chinese food last night (and drinking wine). My strategy is to drink extra water, hit it hard in my workout (did Turbo Fire 60 this am and burned 543 calories) and eat carefully for the rest of the day...oatmeal, Shakeology, no salt turkey on whole wheat bread, etc.
Don't worry, after a day or so the bloated feeling will pass and you'll be back on track!

tons of water, and lots of potassium (bananas, anyone?)0

Guess I will just reenforce what was said....drink more than your usual water intake (that does not mean soda and juices made with water, it means water), a workout that makes you sweat like crazy or a sauna, and potassium works wonders. Now if only I followed this routine after a Chinese food binge...0

northern beans, split peas, lima beans, edamame, russet potato with skin, avocado. High water fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, celery. Also, plain lo-fat yogurt. These are all hight potassium foods0

I have heard that upping potassium will help also, bananas and while drinking all the water you can today try distilled water for a couple of days? Good luck, I hate that feeling!0

Thanks everyone... I already had my p90x today which was more resistance than cardio, perhaps I'll throw an extra hour of cardio in tonight too. Going to grab some bananas at lunch and keep the water flowin'0
