Hi
Any help or advice would be great cause I am getting fed up now -
I am 5ft 2 and when I started weighed 9st 9 I have logged my meals and been very good(1200 without exercise), done regular exercise ( cardio, running and weights) ate extra when exercised but kept within the set calories and made sure I drink lots of water .
2 weeks in I lost 2 pound not a lot but was happy it was all paying off but since then I have not lost anything in fact I am 9st 8 now some how putting on a pound and a lot of the time I am hungry.
Is this just me??? though I eat extra when I have exercised am I going into starvation mode??? or is it a battle I am not going to win???

open your diary.
do you weigh everything you eat with scales?0 -
Hi
No I don't eat breakfast and if I do before a run its toast ,90% of the food I scan eg bought salad packs, the other I work out per portion
I will try to open my diary0 -
Try cutting down your carbs. They are what your problem is. Your primary resource for energy is carbs first then fat. Lower your carbs to under 100g per day and your body will burn fat sooner with less carbs in the tank. When I realized this, I started losing weight faster.

This is only my opinion, and my experience, so dont take it as gospel
But i never used to eat breakfast, i was never hungry in the morning. - i still lost weight when dieting doing this.
However the last 3 months ive started to eat breakfast and my weight loss is sooo much better, and i also feel so much better throughout the whole day too! I now wake up hungry in the mornings, and love my breakfast.
So maybe give that a try? They say it kick starts your metabolism0 -

"They" are incorrect. I never eat until 11 am, maybe as late as 2 pm, everyday and I get up at 5 am. It's about personal preference and calories in vs. out. Meal timing is irrelevant.
OP: Give this topic, and all the topics linked in here. It's incredibly helpful and empowering.

I took a quick glance at your diary and the biggest thing I noticed was inconsistency. You've skipped at least 3 days in the last week so how can you know if you're eating within your calories on a regular basis? Some days you come in way under, some days you come in way over. This is ok as long as things average out but again, with the skipped days, it's impossible to know. Try planning your meals as much as you can and keep healthy snacks on hand - I find this helps to avoid temptations
I also agree that your food choices could be better. While it doesn't matter so much for weight loss - calories are calories - it could be the reason why you're feeling so hungry. Skip the 2nd energy drink and eat some yogurt and oatmeal/quinoa or eggs and fruit instead. Real food will tend to stick to you longer, especially when it's higher in protein and healthy fats. Get some more veggies in too - fiber can help you feel full longer.
Also consider being more accurate with your logging by weighing solids and measuring liquids as often as you can. Food scales are fairly inexpensive.

The first thing I noticed was the energy drink. Have you tried Monster's Energy Drinks? They have 3 choices (I think) that have no calories, maybe 1 carb, and less than 1 gram of sugar... and still taste good. I also noticed that there seems to be no vegetables listed in the last few days? Do you just not eat them? Eating a salad instead of a scone would really help. You would be getting goot nutrition; the scone has a lot of carbs that just turn into sugar and leave you feeling deprived, hungry, and wanting more carbs.0
