Theme parks when you're a certain size

I've been to Alton Towers several times in the past few years and always panic initially about not getting onto the rides because of my size - which is much reduced now to what it was - but still a fair bit to go.

Not just for Alton Towers in the UK, but what are other people's experiences about theme parks when you're a certain size.

Rides are pretty much the same all over the world - what about if anyone has information they can post here? Just wondering - it'd help me I know that much when I start going to other theme parks

Found this link on an Alton Towers forum - if it helps... http://forums.towersalmanac.com/index.php?showtopic=15213

Seriously doubt you'll be attending Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO but I noticed a lot of women who appeared to be around my previous higher weights (~250-280 lb) fitting onto all of the adult rides/roller coasters with no issues at all. In fact it kind of surprised me because I'd hesitant to go for years afraid of not fitting. Honestly my area (MO, OK, AR & KS) has a lot of obese people so I would imagine those rides are designed larger than average for a reason.
