Hi There, new to MFP, about three weeks now and finding it great. Have also started Fitstar this week and finding that enjoyable.
I have tried and lost weight in the past, but keeping it off has been the problem. I have quite an "all or nothing" personality, and in the past I have undertaken fitness programs thrown myself in boots n all and got great results, but in a completely unsustainable way. Eating and exercise took over my life rather than being part of my life. I am this time trying to be abit more patient and do things slower and keep the weight off.
I have a body that has its positives and negatives and I have to constantly remind myself what are true limitations and what is perception. I have an average metabolism , my wife eats more than I and never puts on weight, i look at something fried and my weight goes up. I tend to put on muscle well but am susceptible to soft tissue injuries and have had more injuries and surgeries than the average man my age but i dont let this limit me. I currently have a Labral tear of the hip and been dealing with this for 18months, trying to get past it without surgery.
I have found this site a great resource and extremly positive, though it was about time I said hi, apparently in a long rambling way.
Keen to connect with anyone on here and fitstar, thanks for listening/reading/osmotically absorbing my post.
