Inner thigh jelly-ness

Anyone got a similar problem with weight loss leaving a saggy bag of jelly type of situation on your inner thighs?

So unattractive. Hoping that will shrink down at some point! Might be wishful thinking...

I have that, although it is finally getting smaller. I've always assumed that since it's the part I like least, it'll be the last to go!!

Oh do I feel your pain!! I have loose skin on my upper/inner thighs, stomach, and arms (bat wings). It's aggravating but not so bad that I would consider surgery. As to the inner thigh jelly-ness (I call it meat curtains) it has gotten better with time and lots of exercise. Zumba involves lots of different leg moves, so that works really well for me. In fact, all of my loose skin has gotten somewhat tighter with time and exercise, but I honestly know it will never go away completely without surgery. My age (43), the length of time I've been overweight (most of my life) and genetics are the primary factors working against me in this. So, I won't be wearing any short-shorts or bikinis, but I do look good in regular length shorts and most of my clothes, so I'm not too bummed. Good luck and know you're not alone!!! :flowerforyou:

+1. My plan is to give this 1 year before I become worried. I am running now but hope to start lifting. I am welcome to any suggestions.

Ah yes!! I can relate. Strength training will be your best bet. Consider squatting, lunges, abduction/adduction work. Basically build up some muscle and it will help. Great job on your weight loss so far. This is a good problem to have ;)

Strength and weight training (ChaLEAN Extreme) has helped me A LOT in this department. :)

My inner thighs was one of my major trouble spots. Power walking everyday, doing barre type workouts (leg lifts) and doing bodyweight/weight training (sumo squats, plié squats, walking lunges, squeezing my legs together with a ball while watching tv etc.) several times per week while eating at a slight deficit helped me to tighten and lose fat in that area.

It slooowly went from hard and solid, to wobbly and jiggly, to smaller and very deflated, to normal. It took a really long though time (like years) but I stayed consistent and determined.

I had fat there even when I was a normal weight back in high school/college so I knew it was going to take time to get rid of.

Even though my inner thighs are fine now, I still work that area on my leg days.

    Good luck!

Meat curtains! Hilarious. My sister (who has lost loads) calls hers a "thigh bum".

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I shall start with the squats, lunges and stairs to see if it helps!
    Cheers

Weighted goblet squats and deadlifts have sincerely reduced my thigh "jelly".
In my first 6 weeks of lifting, I lost 2 inches off each thigh.

Wow so it worked for you - good to know. I wonder if I can find some barre classes here in Melbourne...

There are some good barre workouts on Youtube. My favourite fitness trainer is Jessica Smith or just search "barre inner thighs".

I have that too! For me i hate it the most of all my jelly i have hanging around lol. I find the the bike or stair stepper has helped reduce my thighs and doing plie or sumo squats works the inner thighs quite well to tighten it up some. I still wear a bikini because i dont care what anyone else thinks of it....i have earned that bikini and so have you.
