Can someone tell me how long food stays in your stomach? For example, when I eat fish. How long does it stay fish before its all fluid in your stomach...? How quick is the food and fat absorbed in the body as soon as you take it in?
Sorry english is not my first language so I hope you understand my question

It takes about 6-8 hours for food to pass through the stomach and small intestine. Food takes an average of 40 hours to pass through the large intestine. These are just rough numbers based on a person with no gastrointestinal issues.0

It also depends on what macros you are eating. If you eat a meal with a lot of protein in, your body will likely slow the digestion process down to enable the body to benefit from all of it. The fat and carbs will be process at the same speed as everything else.0
