They were talking about how tests were done and it showed that small children who eat fruits/veggies that are not organic and treated with pesitcides can cause and increase ADHD.

The Dirty Dozen
These fruits and vegetables listed below usually have a thin skin and are hard to wash, making it more difficult to remove pesticides. The Dirty Dozen tend to contain higher levels of the toxins, and therefore, it's important to always buy them organic.

• Celery
• Peaches
• Strawberries
• Apples
• Blueberries
• Nectarines
• Bell Peppers
• Spinach
• Kale
• Cherries
• Potatoes
• Grapes

The Clean Fifteen
The fruits and vegetables listed below have thicker skins, are more resistant to pesticides and are easier to wash. While thicker skin does not always equate to lower levels of pesitcides, Dr. Sears says that you probablywon't be harming your health by buying non-organic versions of these:

• Onions
• Avocados
• Sweet Corn
• Pineapples
• Mangos
• Sweet Peas
• Asparagus
• Honeydew Melons
• Cabbage
• Eggplants
• Cantaloupes
• Watermelons
• Grapefruits
• Sweet Potatoes
• Kiwis

I am glad more credit is being given to buying organic. People used to think it was a waste of money or something that "rich people" did, and now even the MD's have good things to say about it. I'm not rich but I try to stick to organic products as much as possible.

This has been my thoughts for a long time. All those pesticides and chemicals in processed foods have a lot to do - I think - with disorders in kids these days. When I was little (I'm 40 now) kids didn't have all these problems. Sure, there was processed foods in the 70's and 80's but I don't think it was to the extent it is now.

Of course what does society do now? Give them a pill filled with chemicals.

If you think about it, our kids are possibly very toxic these days. With pesticides, ADHD medication, preservatives, high fat foods, etc.

While there are legitimate problems that kids can have, a lot of time I think the biggest problem is that you cannot make any money selling the behavior modification drug my dad used, and works so far for me it was called Aswiftkickintheass. Seems most people do not know where they can find it or how to properly administer it. :smokin:
