Hi ladies,

So, my fitness goals for the month. (is a month OK?) are:

Hard cardio (at least 500 calories) three times a week.

Light cardio (dance. . .for about 300) twice a week.

Weights twice a week, with yoga stretching afterwards.

One "sugar treat" a week only. (I've been slipping here, filling my calories with chocolate too often) I'm still trying to get under 20% body fat, not lighter but more solid. . .

What say we go for a month, and then re-assess? And stick with "Victorious"? It makes me feel . . .well. . ."victorious."

Oh, and P.S. . . .I always see more "looks" than "posts" here at our fitness challenge. . .why not join in? All are welcome! Just pick some goals for the month (primarily exercise goals, but anything habit-changing will do) and post! We're nice, mostly.:flowerforyou:

Okay, I'll join. My husband wants to take me away in a little over 5 weeks, so my goals are:

Cardio 3-4 week (cycling, step, or something called Body Attack - have no idea how to explain it)
    Strength/circuit training 2-3 week

Include more fresh fruits and vegetables in my diet and stay away from my children's "junk" box.

Be able to do up my shorts from last summer...not breathing kind of makes it hard to walk.

Try and find other means of de-stressing other than shoving food in my mouth.

I'm giving myself five weeks to work on this, hoping to succeed at least 80% of the time (also working on not expecting perfection from myself)

Here goes...:drinker: to the next five weeks (that's water in my glass)

    I'd like to join!

    From today until June 30th
My goals: Cardio 5 days per week (20 minutes+ per session); Strength training 5 days per week (20 minutes+ per session)

Can we do some type of fitness test at the start, and at the end? I did the "stair step" test, where you get 2 minutes to go up and down as many times on the stairs as possible (from the bottom up to the second step and back counts as one - you must use the second step!).

I did it yesterday and got 59 steps in 2 minutes... not bad, but looking to improve!

Anyone else have good fitness tests?

I'll try the fitness step test later tonight and let you all know how I did. How often throughout the course of the "challenge" do we test ourselves again on the fitness test?

My fitness test, as weenie as it sounds, is to do two REAL push-ups. Which is saying something because I'm not sure I've ever done one.

Hey Viv & all the newcomers! My goal for this challenge will be to lose another 5 pounds and do a little more strength training. I'm going to have my son help me out with the BowFlex and will do Jillian's Shred for 30 days as soon as it gets here:grumble:

I did Hip Hop Abs TBB again today. My results from the last challenge made me very happy so I'll stick with Shaun until Jillian gets here:yawn:

    Mary-hope you're enjoying the beach!:drinker:

I will let you know what I think as soon as it gets here. It's 3 20 minute segments and it claims to be able to assist in losing 20 pounds in 30 days.

    HI ALL!

Can't wait for another Victorious Challenge! Welcome to IFT and AJCM!

I do Jillian's Shred -- the 20 minute programs are on my FitTV and they are GREAT. It's 20 minutes nonstop alternating cardio/ strength/ abs and sure is hard! Next time I do it I want to wear my HRM so I can see how many calories it burns. I know I'm sweatin' the whole time.

    My goals for this challenge:
    ^ Losing 8lbs
^ Exercise cycling -- alternating light weeks (burning 300-500 cal per day, while staying within calories) with heavy weeks (burning 750 cal per day)
^ I'm also stealing a page from Vivia and I'm pledging to limit myself on my treats. I'm eating too much dark chocolate, dried fruit, "diet soda" cake and other sort-of healthy treats for my calories
^ Take my vitamins, drink my agua

    GOOD LUCK!!!!

Welcome to the new members. You're about to make some amazing, supportive, optimistic friends here! :flowerforyou:

Did upper body lifting and still felt too energized. So I tackled a hill behind the gym. that's about 30 meters long: 3 x 10 repeats. I jogged the first & last, walked the middle set. My butt is on fire! :noway:

    Happy Tuesday!
