Hi I'm currently doing the insanity workout. Have 4 children and 2 dogs. I take the dogs for at least 4/5 mile walk a day sometimes 7. However I'm not sure what to put my activity level down as. At the moment it's lightly active and as suggested by Sean T I'm having 40% carbs/ 40% protein & 20% fat.

Your activity level should be set to what you are doing when you are NOT working out. Desk job=sedentary. Construction laborer = active. ect. BUT then you log your workouts and MFP makes the adjustments for that day.
I work out about 5 hours a week doing weight lifting and running (which I log) but set my activity level as sedentary because I work in front of a computer all day.0
