how much mozzarella does this look like

I had 3 slices of this today and need to just calculate the mozzarella (already totaled the crust and lettuce part)

about how many oz of mozzarella do you think this is?

Thank you!

That... is impossible! We don't know how big the pizza is, or how big the slices were, um. Maybe someone else is better at eyeballing it than me, hehe.
  • oops, its a 16 inch pie i forgot to add, so slices are pretty large, and i didn't mean exact down to the gram lol just a rough idea how many oz you think 3 slices would have

Did you try calling Remo's and asking them for some sort of measurement of the mozzerella?

Since 1 ounce of solid cheese is *about* 1 inch square, and those appear to be close to half inch cubes (approximately, by visual anyway), and you ate three pieces of the 16" pizza, I would venture to *guess* about 6-8 ounces depending on how generous the chef was when placing it on the pizza, and how much cheese was on each slice of the particular pieces you ate. =/ Each piece looks like it has like 5 chunks of half-inch cubes per slice.

For my own sanity, if it were me, I'd log it at 6 ounces and call it a day...and that's probably wrong, but that's what I'd do.

Edited to Add: calling Remo's would be my first go-to and if they didn't have an answer for me, I'd go with 6 oz.

So..... You ate pizza.... And instead of logging slices of pizza.....you'll have us believe that you're logging the individual ingredients of a pizza, as if you're building a recipe?

Nice try son. Come harder next time tho.

I guess I fell for whatever you're talking about ( it sounded like a legitimate question to me).

Maybe I need a nap :noway:

No clue what you are actually trying to ask or how we would even answer it.
  • This is looks ****ing big, I would log it with some 200 grams of white-bread and for the 22 pieces of mozzarella I found on 3 slices of this Pizza would account 10 grams each, so totals 220 grams mozzarella, for the salad I would log mixed salad 150 grams. I think this brings you pretty close to what you have eaten.
    Convert grams to ounces here:http://www.grams-to-ounce.com/
    Actually simple to answer...

What is wrong with breaking down restaurant food into a recipe? I do it all the time!! I often eat modified things that differ from the restaurant descriptions (and calories), so it makes sense to me to break it down. Example: I ask them to leave off pepperoni, or sauces, cheese etc. Spaghetti and meatballs is significantly less calories if you ask for the sauce over roasted/sauteed veggies in place of the noodles.
