Chasing the Bandwagon

So... I'm trying to get back on the bandwagon... or at least straddle it. I ate my egg this morning and drank water. So far so good. Upon my arrival at work candy was stacked on my desk in a violent manner, and of course it's my favorite, Reese's trees and Butterfinger. How can I resist? It'd be rude to decline, so they're sitting here... being stared at. HELP!

I had to stop being "polite" about it and straight up tell people no or give the goodies away to others. I knew if I accepted the offer or kept the goodies around, I'd scarf them down.
Get rid of them candies!! Haha.. or account for them and work out extra hard!?. :laugh:0 -
pick it up, take it off of your desk, and place it away from you...out of arms reach. Let it be known you are sharing with everyone! Give it away, take it to the break room, whatever. But I would not keep it on your desk. If you must, keep one of each, and be done with it. You can do this!0

My office is full of holiday treats at the moment. I have started to do some creative swapping with the people who got great fruit baskets. So, I try and walk out with produce rather than chocolate. Yesterday, I ended up with two pears and three grapefruit.
I think you just need to be gracious, say thanks for the chocolate and the thought, but re-gift or trade for something healthier.

Screw being polite. Just say no. If they say "one won't hurt", then if they're fat say "Obviously that isn't the case."
Or find out who left it, go over about 12' from their desk and start hurling it at them. If you become known as the crazy person who hurls candy, they won't give it to you anymore, unless they have some freaky fetish where they like being hit by candy.
Or you could be "nice" and tell them that eating candy would not help you reach your dietary goals, and therefore you have no interest in eating it. If they puch, then you can get aggressive and ask them "How is that whole eating candy thing working for you?"0 -

Throw them away. Give them away. Do what you need to do.
The gesture was appreciated. It was nice for someone to think of you, but there's no reason for you to feel tempted or guilty (as I'm sure this was not the gift giver's intent).
They don't have to know that you tossed them or gave them away.

Am I the only one that can clearly envision the viral Youtube video of the crazy candy throwing lady?0
