How do I tell my Mom not to give me a bigger butt for Christ

Okay, so my Mom is here visiting for Christmas. My Mom used to be bigger than I am, but she got very, very sick a couple of years ago and then lost 50 lbs. I love my Mom, but she didn't do jack-diddly-squat to lose that weight, so I am very annoyed when she tells me that she used to be "fat" or that she's too skinny and proceeds to boo-hoo about how she needs to gain weight. She's just a little too smug about it for me, and it's getting on my last nerve.
Well, last night, I'm on my way to the grocery store for a FEW -- VERY FEW -- items, when I made the mistake of answering her phone call: Mom: I need potato chips, cookies, something sweet, I need munchies! Me: ugggghhhh. Okay!
I was in a bit of a panic, figuring out how in the world I'm going to keep losing if I have a big-a@% bag of chips in my house, when I realized I could get her a 35-cent bag of chips, a single candy bar, and then NOBODY else (including me) would have to consume all those extra calories. I'm worried, though, if she keeps this up until New Year's Eve (when she leaves), I'm not going to lose anything while she's here.
Is anybody else having sabotage issues this holiday season?

Other than me sabotaging my self? No, Thankfully my family lives close enough to visit in a day but far enough away not to be here all the time. Be patient with your mom and just relax stress causes weight gain too!!!!!!0

Now that my husband is on board with all this and seeing how much happier I am now I have dropped all this weight I think it's been a lot easier for me. We also live far enough away from both our families that they come visit for a day and aren't over everyday. When they do come visit I usually call that as my "cheat" day. Like Momma24 said relax because stressing out will only cause weight gain. Good luck!0

Great problem solving though! Really. That was an opportunity for you to make an excuse and sabotage yourself and.... YOU DIDN'T! You deserve lots of kudos for that. You handled it once, and you can (and will) handle it again. I've got confidence in you.0

So it sounds like not losing anything while she is here would be a huge improvement over other possible outcomes, right? Had you purchased the big bag of chips and the bag of candy, you could potentially have gained a considerable amount of weight in a week.
Keep making great choices (as you did), keep up with your exercise, stick as close to your calorie goal as possible while eating healthy, filling foods. Consider it a victory if you maintain your current weight this week, consider it a major victory if you come out with a weight loss. Don't tell her to get her own chips, if you get them for her, you can control the quantities.0 -

You did great! Thankfully, my husband is doing this with me and family is close enough to visit without staying. I would just keep doing what you did. While you can't control her eating habits, you can control yours. Keep your chin up. The holidays will be over soon!0
