edited September 22 in Introduce Yourself
As I type away thinking about what I should say to introduce myself, all of the headlined emotions came to the forefront of my brain.

I'm encouraged that I have found what looks to be a fantastic support group and tracking device for my new journey to better health and weight loss. I'm discouraged that I've let my health slip so far from the healthy former "me". I'm proud that I have begun to take this step to join MFP and make a commitment to get back to good health.....but I'm angry with myself for taking so long......

I am hoping that all of you positive MFP members will assist me in getting my MOJO back! Thank you all for listening.

Friend me at your leisure. All the best.

Bob

Welcome! Stick with 'encouraged' and 'proud'. They feel a lot nicer than 'discouraged' and 'angry'.

This site is SOOOOOOOOOOO encouraging. You can do it!!!

    Don't look back . . . only forward . . . yesterday does not count . . . guilt on yesterday's choices will only harm tomorrow . . .

    Welcome to MFP!

    Bob-

Many people on here have probably felt the same way at one point or another...the important thing is that we all decided to make a life change, and commit to it! That is the biggest challenge, aside from sticking to it...

I have only been on this site for 3 weeks, and I love it! I love reading the inspiring success stories, and the common obstacles we share...

    Rock It!
  • I agree with all the posts above. There's no point focusing on what you did or didn't do. All that matters is the here and now and moving forward. All the best on your journey.

I would say we all understand the progression of emotions. Go through them but then let them go. Today is a new day. You are on the right track and we will help you stay there. You might slip now and then but again, just pick yourself off, dust yourself off and keep going. I think of this as a lifestyle change. Holidays are also the hardest. All the goodies and the mindset of others...'It is the holidays go ahead and splurge a little'. I have to constantly remind myself even if others send a different message. I have slipped recently but I'm back on track. Good luck!!!
