I have a question about my calorie intake. (on Keto diet)

First of, my stats are:
- 33/guy
- 180 lbs
- 5'8"
- sedentary, if I'm not exercising
goal weight: 150 lbs
I just started going to the gym about 3-4 times a week to lift weights for about 45-60 minutes each session. I also walk for an hour straight about 3-4 times a week as well (at about a 3.0/3.5 mph pace). MFP says I should be consuming about 1670 calories a day in order for me to get down to 150lbs. So if I even lower my intake to about 1300-1400 calories a day while following the ketogenic diet, would that help me lose weight quicker? Or would my calorie intake be too low at those levels?
I appreciate all of the input in advance. Thanks.

Why Keto? Unless its required for medical purposes etc
Going Keto doesn't really have any advantages for weight loss, apart from it decreases water weight quickly (which you'll gain again when you start eating carbs).
Weight loss is calories in calories out, whether you're eating 'Keto' or just eating chocolate and you're in a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight.0 -

Ehh, I've tried other diets before and keto has helped me the most so far. Maybe it's because I just enjoy the type of foods I'm consuming as well as not struggling too much with missing the type of foods I've given up. I also want to lose quite a bit of fat and from all of the things I've heard and read, the ketogenic diet is one of the best diets to incorporate with consistent exercise for weight loss/fat loss goals.
So is around 1400 calories a day too low for me, even on the keto diet?0 -

From a TDEE calculator, your TDEE is around 2500 calories , your BMR is 1800 calories. If you're eating at 1400 calories, you'll be losing just under 2 lb's a week.
If you're comfortable eating at this, then go for it. Personally, I think it's a little low.0 -

Yeah, you're probably right. Especially when I'm also lifting weights 3-4 times a week. Where did you do my TDEE calculation?0
