1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?

Run a half marathon... a goal that I have had for sooo many years, graduate from college... become financially independent from my parents :-D

I want a cat and I kind of want to name him Noodle

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Not this year... fingers crossed

5. What countries did you visit?

Just the USA but I went on road trip from Central California to N. Cal to Nevada ->Idaho->Wyoming->Colorado->Utah-> back to Nevada and then down to San Diego. It was an amazing experience, the Grand Tetons, the Rockies, Tahoe, Denver, open land, wild horses, crazy thunder storms... just amazing

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?

random material things ;-) maybe a dog or a cat... I just want to be happy

7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Jan 2. it was a big day for me.

8. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?

Graduation, getting a quality job, being debt free, finally realizing that being healthy is the right way to go

9. What was your biggest failure?

My breakup with my last bf, he is still one of my best friends but I went about it all wrong and he deserved better

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

nothing serious, thankfully, mental health realizations and physical acceptance type stuff were the biggest things

11. What was the best thing you bought?

A pair of camel colored knee high boots and my NYE dress

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

My father, who has supported me and kept his faith in my abilities no matter what, and my boyfriend who knows every dark thing about me and still loves me.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

My sister, sadly. My mother, unsurprisingly. A few women I went to college with who have disappointed me mostly

14. Where did most of your money go?

Clothes, gas, bills, food.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Moving to San Diego, my job with San Diego State and all of the grants my BF is winning for his research!!!! Going out downtown, the excitement of a big city and CHRISTMAS!!!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?

Much happier

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

More DANCING!!! I went to the electric daisy carnival in LA and that was a pretty epic dancefest

Crying, stressing, not being real with myself.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

With the love of my life, our TINY Christmas tree and lots of smiles

21. Did you fall in love in 2010?

No, I fell in love in 2006 and he came back to me, finally, in 2010. After years of handwritten letters, and regrets, he finally said the right things to make me give him another chance.

None.

Dexter, Private Practice and Battlestar Galactica *blush*

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

no, some people are toxic I have decided and I have chosen to stay away from them

The Art of Racing in the Rain and the Game of Thrones series

Little People, Deadmau5, Laidback Luke everything amazing that Pandora spits at me

27. What did you want and get?

A Louis Vouitton bag. that I never thought i would get. My best friend in the whole world bought it for me for my birthday, he rules.

28. What did you want and not get?

A few things from Tiffany, for graduation, but hell, I am an independent woman with a good job, so I'll buy them myself ... and a car... I wish a car fairy would just drop one off ;-)

29. What was your favorite film of this year?

TRON... I mean seriously Daft Punk did the score... I liked Black Swan as well, And HP7...

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I went out in a FABULOUS dress had an amazing time, and woke up to a breakup note from my bf... to be honest I deserved it and he wasn't malicious... it was just time... and I should have been the one to do it months before.

31.What was one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Not working for Verizon... omfg HELL. the 3 weeks of training were like a nonstop summer party that the company completely financed and I met some amazing people though

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?

I'm always overdressed and I like it, and if my heels aren't 5"+ they are too short... sounds great right... wrong... foot surgery next year :-x

my potential and my boyfriend

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

oh god the two main men from Battlestar... Anders and Lee OMFGGG hot, them and I have a total girl crush on Olivia Wilde

35. What political issue stirred you the most?

The budget, taxes, health care, gay marriage, unemployment... Im have a degree in PoliSci... it all concerns me

36. Who did you miss?

My best friends from childhood Max, Kim and Charlie... I saw 2/3 of them at least once though which was nice.

37. Who was the best new person you met?

Angelo and Danny two guys in my Verizon training, we are like kindred spirits, and I can just be one of the boys with them.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010?

Seek help when you need it, there is no shame in that.

My SO's sister but I wouldn't call her close, if you know what I mean

My Grandmother died a week ago

December 15, my grandmother's death

moving in with my SO

Being unable to sell my house. Not my fault because of the s****y economy, but still...

Nope, knock on wood. There is still a week left in the year

My daughter for doing so well in school, and my dad for keeping his cool with his psycho sister.

My aunt and cousins for turning my grandmother's illness and death into a platform to attack the rest of my family. It is sad but I have written them out of my life for good.

Moving in with my SO and taking my first vacation in 6 years

Hate is a very strong word. And I very strongly dislike my aunt and her daughters

I am the antitrend. I live in converse, jeans and tshirts. My hair has no product but I always have my makeup on and look cute.

My daughter, my man , and my family. (and some Mexican xanax I picked up on vacation)

I am in love with Anthony Bourdain

Don't get me started. I am a liberal democrat. enough said

My friend Shane who died in 2007 and now my grandmother

37. Who was the best new person you met?
My mom's boss/friend and his girlfriend. They are so much fun!

Anything worth having is worth waiting for.
