I myself am 147lb, and I just found this, not sure who wrote it, but I found it really interesting, what do you think?

I think that people worry about their weight too much, and should just concentrate on getting healthier.

The author of the article stated that fitness is her primary importance, rather than weight change; therefore, the article suggests using fitness goals to record/exhibit fitness. I believe that is true: measure and record the metric in which you're interested.

So, if your goal is a change in weight, you SHOULD measure your weight. I agree with that article, weighing (without clothes) first thing each morning--after visiting the bathroom--and recording that weight, may show wide swings in daily weight (up to 3-4 lbs/day, personal experience); therefore, take a weekly average of your weight for better accuracy in determining whether you are successful in gaining, or losing, weight. [For me, I can usually determine why I've gained, or lost, a radical amount of weight during a daily swing: it's usually due to having eaten a lot of salt and retained the water, or have exercised without replenishing all the water lost in sweating ("glistening" for women) the day before weighing.]
