a feww hundred calories short of your suggested intake. Mine is 2,040 that seems high because my wifes is 1200. I almost feel guilty eating more than her.

Hi, it all depends on how tall you are and how heavy you are also. I've heard that it's best not to shock your body with such low food quantity or else it will go into 'starvation mode' and your weight loss will stall. I too go a few hundred under as well but I jolt my metabolism again by having 'cheat' days. I guess listen to your body, if you are still hungry, eat more, but if you're fine with what you're eating, then that's ok also. I'm sure your wife would understand if you ate more than her, especially if she is shorter/smaller than you. Good luck!0

If you eat too few calories you will not lose weight. Better to stick to the plan. How manly calories we get also depends on how fast we want to lose weight. I in my50's and rather sedentary due to an office job and I get more calories than your wife. I lose around a pound every 10 days; which makes me happy. I'm betting your wife wants to lose around 2 pounds per week.0
