Is it weird that I genuinely LIKE to feel hungry?

Even before I ever struggled with an eating disorder I liked the feeling of being hungry... I still do. But I also LOVE to eat! I hate being full (it takes very little to fill me up), however. Idk...

It is weird. I also think you need to seek professional help with your ED. You can and will have a healthy relationship with yourself and food :flowerforyou:

Personally, I think it's weird because when I'm hungry I feel sick/faint and crabby. However, my husband (who most certainly has never been close to having an ED and eats extremely well) enjoys the way he feels when he's a bit hungry - he says he feels empty and focused and a little bit 'buzzy'. When he lived alone he sometimes used to forget to eat for a day or so. I *never* forget to eat but then, that's probably why I ended up 70lbs overweight and my husband has never been out of 'normal' range.

There is nothing wrong with going hungry for a few hours until your next 'good' meal but it isn't something you should be doing on a regular basis or for any length of time because, well, because you know why.

Weird? Weird is a word I'd use to describe it if you liked to dip your potato chips in peanut butter. Disturbing is the word I'd use for your situation

Seek professional help for your ED

I couldn't find a proper way to respond. Thankfully you did.

What's wrong with dipping chips in peanut butter? lol .. Personally? I used to mix peanut butter and jelly and use it as a dip for corn chips! Yummy.

As far as the OP's post.. I would also suggest that you see a doctor/therapist.
