Ready to finish what I started - friends, please!

Hi all! I started my journey this time last year - I am down about 20 (net of a couple ups and downs along the way) and am renewing my efforts to try and lose another 20-30. I would love to make friends in the MFP community to help support one another. I'm especially focused on eating clean but don't know enough to feel comfortable venturing away from the same handful of foods that I know are safe. I'd would love to meet some folks who can help drop some knowledge. Please add me if you see this, thanks! :)

Hi, my name is Amy. I haven't been on here very long, but I lost almost 40 lbs on my own before joining. I tend to go up and down though. I'd like to eliminate some of the back and forth and speed up the losing :) I am learning the importance of making good food choices in order to be successful. All calories are not created equal! I'm learning to avoid trigger foods for me and choose foods that will suppress appetite. For me, this means staying away from breads and sugars as much as possible and choosing proteins instead. Some people cam eat frozen meals and count the calories and lose weight. This doesn't work for me. I find that the closer I stay to a whole food diet and avoid preservatives, the more successful I am. Maybe we can help each other with the cleaner eating :) Good luck on your journey!

Hey! I'm not sure how I got to your post, but please feel free to add me! I've only been doing this a few days, but already love the community of support I've found on MFP. Obviously, I don't have a history of eating clean, otherwise I wouldn't be here, but I do know some things...not an expert by any stretch of the imagination! My daughter was diagnosed with 64 food allergies along with a couple of fairly serious conditions a few years ago and we were forced to learn about our food sources. Put them into play for her, but left myself out of the equation until recently. Would love to share ideas!

I'm new to MFB and looking for friends to share ideas, successes and pitfalls with and would love to add you to my friend list. We've gone wheat-free, but it has proven harder than I anticipated. I'm getting better and the results have shown themselves with lessened arthritis pain. I'm hoping the weight will follow!
