Does Teaching Burn Calories?

I searched for this topic to no avail, so if someone has addressed this already, please forgive me. I am a teacher at a local college, and I teach classes that are up to 150 minutes long. During this time I walk around a lot and rarely sit. (I sit only when I am proctoring a test) I do not know if I should change my lifestyle profile, or add this time in as a slow walking workout. What I tend to do now is divide the time by four, and count it as slow walking. For example, a 120 minute class would be 30 minutes of the slowest walking in the database. So far my calories and weight loss have been consistant with this, but my husband thinks I'm cheating myself and should not count teaching time at all. Ideas?

On my teaching days, my calorie burn is considerably higher (I wear a bodymedia armband). I count half of the time as slow walking when I lecture. Alternately, if you teach quite a bit during the week, you could go to lightly active (I prefer to adjust my calories day by day, though.)

From what I can find on my METs compendium, teaching would burn an additional 2 Calories per kilogram of body weight per hour. Honestly, though, I don't count my walking at school or calories burned while teaching fitness classes because I count them in my daily activity level.0
