So I had quite a major falling off the wagon this week! I'm too scared to weigh myself but I'm sure that there's been a significant amount of damage done.
Nevermind! I'm going to be getting back on track as of today and for the whole of January am going to be 100% focussed. Does anyone want to join me for 37 days of serious commitment? It'll be a group with lots of input & support (I don't know about you but it makes all the difference for me!) and is open to anyone who wants to join!
I'll start - My starting MFP weight in September was 135 and I saw a very exciting 124 last week... but it's all gone downhill from there! I have no idea what I weigh today (but I fear the worst) so these are subject to change, but my goals are...
1) Get back to 125 by my birthday (14th January) and 123 by January 31st (basically undo this past week's damage!)
2) Make sure I get my protein in
3) Not skimp on my strength training
Anyone who'd like to join me, what're you hoping for this coming month?

I'm with you but does that mean you're starting today? No time like the present but I just want to make sure we are on the same page. The last two weeks have been a diet disaster for me! Yikes! Heading to the gym soon to hopefully burn off some of the excess from the last two days of overeating.0

Yup, starting today! My gym's closed until tomorrow unfortunately so I'm being super careful today and will be exercising hard starting monday. What're you hoping for this month?0

Well, I'd like to drop the holiday weight gain (guess I need to get on the scale for that!) by January 3rd. May be a lofty goal, but if I put it on that quickly I should be able to take it off the same. Yeah, right!. I'd like to lose 2 lbs/ wk from then on so not counting the holiday weight gain, 8 lbs by February 1.
My gym was open today so I was able to burn off a lot of calories, but I know I was over my daily goal by 600 - 800 calories the last 3-4 days, so if I stay at my goal today, The burn will help negate my past transgressions, but you know how that goes! I'm off, we are going to do some post-Xmas shopping and food will surely be involved somewhere in the mix...
I'll keep you posted. Add me if you want.0 -
I'm in, I gained 5 lb this week!! I have been for a 5 mile run this morning and feel much better. Just another 20lbs to go. Hopefully by march I'll have lost it all!!0

I think I went over by about 2000 for 4 days... ouch! I was too scared to log so it's a guess, but still... pretty gross!
Loxleys - yay, welcome! Well done on your run!
I've had a good start today and ate really well but to be honest that's not hard when you've been feasting for the last few daysBack to the gym tomorrow!

Hope that you've managed to eat clean today - I tried but for the 3rd day in a row i've eaten out! snacks are my downfall but I held back today and ate tons of salad and very little of the bad stuff (apart from a very nice trifle) but I managed to avoid alcohol during the day - which is a first - I usually need to siff drink to survive a family meeting at christmas!!!0

I ate a bit more than planned today - got a xmas food related snack attack! but still was well under so compensation period is going well! I'm trying to be very very careful until NYE (don't want to feel flabby in my outfit :grumble: ) and then I'll go back to normal after that.
Haha, well done for avoiding the daytime booze! Snacks are my downfall too - I used to eat half my calories at meal times and the other in snacks - awful! Trying to keep it all under control now tho.. well done for being good today0
