Hi, What I do and what I recommend to people is to eat at a calorie level that allows you to drop 1-2 lbs/week. This assumes an average calorie burn from you getting in all of your workouts. This will be different for everyone, so you'll have to do some trial and error to figure it out. I'd start ~1600 cal/day. Hit this goal, along with your macros which should be 50% protein 30% carbs and 20% fat and getting in your workouts, for a week. If you lose 1-2 lbs, you're good to go. If you lose too much, increase your intake and repeat. If you don't lose enough, reduce your intake a bit and repeat. After a few weeks, you'll figure out what works for you in your situation.

If you go for a lot of fat free, low fat items: substitute some for full fat. Eat nuts, Use olive oil.

Adding you as a friend. I'd be happy to help. The default settings in MFP aren't realistic and don't try to give you nearly enough protein.

^^ agree. I eat more protein and never hit the carb recommendation. You might try reducing the fat, unless it's good fats.

I'm not understanding why this is a problem? If you are happy in your food choices and you are at least eating a healthy amount of fat (0.3x your total weight as a minimum) then your eating habits now are just fine.

Otherwise, eating fuller fat items will help. Fuller fat dairy products, dark meats and red meats, fish, whole eggs, oil/butter.
